Black Lives Matter

Police Officer
If you can't laugh at yourself, you are taking yourself waaaay to seriously...

NYPD Police Commissioner James O’Neill shamed activist groups such as Black Life Matters for their blatant hypocrisy, and for promoting violence against the police.

In his eulogy for Officer Miosotis Familia, O’Neill stated, “Let me tell you something.” “Regular people sign up to be cops. They sign up for this job of protecting strangers, knowing there are inherent risks. But not one of us ever agreed to be murdered in an act of indefensible hate. Not one of us signed up to never return to our family or loved ones.”

O’Neill taunted the assembled activists, asking, “So, where are the demonstrations for this single mom, who cared for her elderly mother and her own three children?”

One of the activists, DeRay Mckesson had recently stirred racial controversy by denouncing the upcoming movie “War for the Planet of the Apes” for allegedly associating black people with apes. In his tweet, Mckesson stated, “Given the history of rendering black people as apes, I’m offended & appalled by the lack of consciousness in Hollywood. #PlanetOfTheApes. “In associating black people w/ apes, active work is being done to perpetuate the dehumanization of black ppl in mass media.” His tweet was able to attract several Twitter users that jumped in to voice their opinions against the creators of the movie.

Recently, Black Lives Matter activist group released a video criticizing news hosts that have called the Black Lives Matter movement “aggressive” and “fear-mongering.”

The narrator in the video states, “They use their guns to assassinate black people. They use their schools to funnel black students through a school-to-prison pipeline. They use their state institutions, bought politicians, business conglomerates and white-supremacist domestic terrorists to incite violence over and over again.” And then they use their new president to enact a law-and-order administration.”

The inflammatory video goes on to declare, “And then they use their new president to enact a law-and-order administration. All to make them shoot first, to make them ask questions later, make them scream, “I thought he had a gun in his hand” and ‘I feared for my life’ and ‘he matched the description of a suspect’ and ‘she was threatening us.’ To shoot and kill Philando Castile, Charleena Lyles, Kisha Michael, Keith Bursey and Wakiesha Wilson until the only option left is for black people to disrupt the systems that keep us oppressed and build the kinds of communities in which we want to live. And when that happens, they’ll use it as an excuse to kill more of us. The only way we stop this, the only way we save our communities and our struggle for freedom is to fight this violence with the raised, clenched, black fist of resistance. We are Black Lives Matter, and we are freedom’s future place.”

Police Officer
Pretty soon it will be labeled a hate-crime to merely act civil towards the police...

Zachary Randolph, an employee for the Great American Cookies was put on suspension, for paying for an officer’s cookie.

Last Sunday, the eighteen year old employee for Great American Cookies was working at their outlet located at the Katy Mills Mall, Texas. It was then, that an on-duty cop had visited the store. Upon noticing the officer’s badge, the Randolph offered to pay for the officer with his own money. The officer then thanked the young employee and left the store shortly afterwards.

However, there was a family in line that were not quite fond of the teenager’s action. The family grew angry at Randolph and suggested that he should pay for their cookies.

It has been noted that the family approached the counter and urged the employee to buy them cookies.

Randolph’s mother described the series of event on her Facebook pose.

“Are you going to buy mine too?” they question. To this, the employee replied, “I’m sorry I bought his because he is wearing a badge.”

As per her post, things became very heated up at this point. The family went on to call Randolph racist and even threatened to “beat him up.”

“His wife threatened to go back there and slap him,” the post read. “The middle aged man sat down his little daughter and tried to come behind the counter to attack him. Thankfully his coworker defused the situation.”

“As soon as this man started the attack my son, he stepped back and walked away,” and that Randolph “said very little to this man.”

Despite the family rude behavior, it came as a shock when Randolph was fired after a complaint was made against him by the family.

As per Randolph’s mother, he was requested to meet the store’s management the next day. During the meeting Randolph was notified that he shall be suspended. “Since when does buying a police officer a cookie give anyone else a reason to attack someone,” his mother asked. “And when did a Corporation want to FIRE someone for being KIND, taking what a customer said or did, regardless of how hateful they are.”

“Great American Cookie Company you FAILED on this one……” she concluded. “Thankfully my son said he would do it again in a heartbeat.”

Escaping Justice
I guess it was only a matter of time till the 'race card' also became a 'get out of jail free' card...

David Grant was strangled to death in a West Florida parking lot in July 2012. Five years late the Broward County State Attorney’s Office has dropped all charges against Joni Donley, man who confessed to killing him.

Grant, a math tutor had arranged a meeting with Donley at a Dunkin Donuts in the County. According to reports, what followed was a simple argument that broke out into a fatal altercation.

“He physically attacked David, and he kicked him to the ground, and he knocked him out…and then he left David face down in the parking lot, while he fled in his vehicle.”

Said Carol Fields, David’s grieving sister describing the grisly details while speaking after the controversial court ruling.

According to eyewitnesses the argument had started inside the Dunkin Donuts regarding payments that needed to be made to the tutor. As it progressed, the pair are said to have moved outside where Grant called Donley a racial slur, confirmed by witnesses. A memo released by the State states that this then “suddenly provoked [Donley] to turn and strike Mr. Grant.”

By all accounts what followed afterwards is a gross mishandling of justice, taken into custody about ten hours after the fight Donley was charged with murder. According to police reports, during Joni was crawling on the floor talking to himself saying

“You killed somebody, Jon. How could you? How could you have done that? Oh, my God, I took a life. … This guy’s dead for nothing, for nothing, Jon.”

A key witness for the case was also identified in Saudi student Ahmad Alsuvae, however the testimony he provided was not preserved for use by the prosecution. Nor was any note made of the fact that Alsuvae planned to return to his home country upon the completion of his studies. Ultimately, this meant that key details that might have pushed the case in favor of State prosecutors were lost.

For their part the State said that they lacked “competent evidence”, that proved the killing did not take place in self-defense. Apparently Donley had been walking away, before the slur and had held grant for “approximately 15 seconds”, despite the tentative terms used by the State the autopsy report confirmed that this was homicide by strangulation. While Grant may have been 400 pounds and cardiovascular disease was a “contributory cause of death”, the judgment this was not by any means a natural death.

An understandable upset Field family denies the State’s claims however saying,

“We were told to let the State Attorney handle it. We did that, and the result was a killer walked away,”

From the evidence we can gather that definitely seems to be the case. With a clear as daylight confession from the attacker, and several eye witnesses to the crime at hand the question stands – why was this man allowed to walk free? Does the use of one ill-advised racial slur justify execution?

While most Maryland residents were at home enjoying their Fourth of July celebrations, vandals snuck into Wood Acres Elementary to deface a school sign to display the message, “EW, TRUMP! MURDER HIS A**”.  The placement and shocking nature of the threat has caused anger in the close-knit Bethesda community, said Andrew Johnson the local resident who spotted and took down the message

“It wouldn’t have mattered if it was Trump, Obama, Clinton, Bush. It was a threat and you know it.”

This is just the latest in a long line of violent attacks and statements made against the President and GOP.  This rhetoric recently culminated in the June 14th shooting of a Republican congressional baseball team, victims of which included House majority whip Steve Scalise.

With the country speaking overwhelmingly against establishment Democrats in the last election is it any wonder now, that instead of focusing on the many problems facing their party, liberals are directing their anger at those chosen to lead?

It’s all over the media anywhere you look. From Kathy Griffin’s vile attempt at courting controversy, shown holding a severed head, to Madonna claiming she’s though about “blowing up the White House” mainstream media sources that are quick to start an uproar at Trump’s latest tweets are surprisingly silent when it comes to this behavior.

Statistics published in a recent Pew Research Center study shows that 4 in 10 Democrats and Republicans see the other party as an active threat to the country. It just goes to show that we’re finding ourselves living in an increasingly divided country split along partisan lines.  Where serious threats become glib buzzwords and echo chambers appear ready to permit even the worst behavior.

Even without calls to violence the dumbing down of mainstream discourse in the country is a sad indictment on how far we need to go to regain our lost values and ideals. In fact Journalistic standards have fallen so far that an annual 2016 Gallup Poll showed only 32 percent of Americans having a great or fair amount of trust in the media.

While many of us retain faith in the people of this great country to see our way clear of this impasse, we pray that further incidents are not needed to stop these efforts at fracturing us further.

Police Funeral
The Black Lives Matter crowd incite contempt and mistrust towards police, and then act surprised at the result of their campaigns of hatred.

Patrick J. Lynch, the head of the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, a labor union set up for the city’s police officers, urges the public to be the “eyes and ears,” for the police officers.

“This kind of violence against police officers cannot stand,” he stated.  “We need the public’s help. When you see someone that’s making threats, doing something against police officers, you need to let us know. You need to be our eyes and ears. We also have to remember the hundreds of police officers that are here now with their heads bowed in sorrow,” Lynch added.

Morning after the 4th of July, a police officer was shot dead in an “unprovoked attack,” in Bronx, as she was sitting in her police vehicle, protecting the city from crime when she was shot in the head by a gunman. Her partner radioed for assistance, while the other officers chased the gunman, who then tried to draw a revolver, and caused the cops to shot and kill him on the spot.

“The officer, Miosotis Familia, 48, a 12-year veteran of the police force assigned to the anti-crime unit of the 46th Precinct, was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where she was pronounced dead,” as noted by NY Times.

The New York City police commissioner has called the attack as “unprovoked attack” and mentioned that the killer was killed, shortly after. “Based on what we know right now, this was an unprovoked attack against police officers who want to keep this great city safe,” Commissioner O’Neill stated in an interview.  It has been noted that the suspect has been identified as a black male, Alexander Bonds, 34, of New York City.

Whereas, a surveillance footage recovered from the scene highlights that the gunman had rather “purposefully” approached the car, and fired the shot, as Familia was engaged in writing something in a book.

Mayor Bill de Blasio, expressed his grief by stating, “She was on duty, serving this city, protecting people, doing what she believed in and doing the job she loved,” he said. “And after this shocking and sudden attack her fellow officers came to her aid immediately.”

Racism Protest
Fighting racism with even more racism... perhaps this is not the most productive way to unite our nation?

Lisa Durden, the Essex County College professor, whose inflammatory discussion with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson led to her dismissal from the college, still isn’t going away quietly.

In Carlson’s show, earlier this month, Durden taunted white people for not being able to attend a Black Lives Matter faction’s “blacks only” Memorial Day party.

“What I say to that is boo-hoo-hoo, you white people are angry because you couldn’t use your ‘white privilege’ card to get invited to the Black Lives Matter’s all-black Memorial Day celebration! Wow!” she spat.

Eventually, in the midst of the exchange, Carlson had to cut out Durden’s microphone, as she kept interrupting him. She even disrespected him and mocked his remarks.

While Durden was only suspended following her debate with Carlson, she claims it was done without any solid reason.

“They did this to humiliate me,” Durden said about the suspension. “Essex County College publicly lynched me in front of my students.” Durden was dismissed last Friday, after suspension ended.

Essex County College President Anthony E. Munroe, regarding the dismissal, said that a “fair and thorough review” of Durden’s remarks was analyzed, and the college board concluded that it could not “maintain an employment relationship with the adjunct.”

Speaking about Durden’s comments, Munroe claimed, “Racism cannot be fought with more racism.”

On Monday, talking to Roland Martin on News One, Durden was asked if she regretted her comments that led to her dismissal. The host also asked her if she would ever apologize for what she said.

“No,” she said, “I am not going to.”

And again, she began ranting about racism; comparing herself and her remarks to Judge Jeanine Pirro’s television comments.

“I wasn’t there to play games, I was there to take a bite out of crime,” Durden said. “When a black woman is on television who is direct, who is aggressive, we’re ‘angry.’ Well, when Jeanine Pirro is on TV pointing and screaming and yelling, she’s ‘intelligent.’”

She added, “Why can’t I come on there and be aggressive and talk in the same vein as any expert in the fields of pop culture, politics and social issues? So now when I do it, I’m not intelligent. When [white women] do it, they’re amazing, they’re intelligent, they’re fantastic!”

Philando Castile
Where does the blame lie? Did the courts get it right?

Almost a year later, since Philando Castile’s death, the trial against Jeronimo Yanez ended last Friday with a not guilty verdict.

In a video publicly released by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, this Tuesday, shows the four- year-old daughter of Castile, warning Diamond Reynolds, her mother to stop yelling after the Yanez had shot Castile, in fear that she would be shot next.

You can see Reynolds screaming “F**k!” just as her cell phone’s battery dies. To this, the child says “No please don’t scream … ’cause I don’t want you to get shooted.”

Reynolds is then seen kissed the child and telling her, “OK, give me a kiss.” Followed by, “My phone just died, that’s all,” Reynold’s confront the chid.

The toddler replies, “I could keep you safe.”

As the video progresses, Reynold’s is seen further confronting the child and saying, “I can’t believe they just did that.”  As Reynold’s tries to remove her handcuffs, you can see the child begging her not to do anything that could get her “shooted.”

“They [sic] not gonna shoot me, OK?” Reynolds says. “I’m already in handcuffs.”

The child begs, “Don’t take them off” and later adds, “I wish this town was safer.”

“I don’t want it to be like this anymore,” she cries.

It was only last year that Officer Jeronimo Yanez shot Castile during a traffic stop, since the smell of “burnt marijuana” in Castile’s car gave him the impression that his life might be in danger.

“I thought, I was gonna die,” said Officer Yanez. “And I thought if he’s, if he has the, the guts and the audacity to smoke marijuana in front of the five year old girl and risk her lungs and risk her life by giving her secondhand smoke and the front seat passenger doing the same thing then what, what care does he give about me. And, I let off the rounds and then after the rounds were off, the little girls was screaming.”

While Yanez’s lawyer was able to convince the judge that the case should be closed shut, as Castile was already “stoned” and thus, died due to his own actions. However, what remains in question is that this isn’t the first time that police had encountered danger posed by someone under the influence of marijuana.

As the Washington post points out:

“This isn’t the first time a police officer has cited the alleged danger posed by pot to justify a confrontation that turned deadly. Last year North Carolina police officers decided to confront Keith Lamont Scott in his car after observing him smoking marijuana in it. Like Castile, Scott was a black man. And like Castile, police were aware that Scott had a firearm. ‘Due to the combination of illegal drugs and the gun Mr. Scott had in his possession, officers decided to take enforcement action for public safety concerns,’ the police department said in an incident summary.”

The system continues to fail black people,” Valerie Castile, Castile’s mother said. “Because this happened with Philando, they’re coming for you, for you, for you, and all your interracial children. Y’all are next and you’ll be standing. you’ll be fighting for justice.”

“We’re devolving. We’re going to 1969,” she adds.

Life is so hard for this NBA star.

LeBron James, the renowned basketball star, was the victim of a racially motivated attack on his property in Los Angeles on Wednesday. An unknown assailant allegedly wrote the n-word on the outside of James’ home with spray paint.

While speaking to reporters at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, James discussed the trials of being black in America and also about the incident in specific.

“I think back to Emmett Till’s mom, actually,” James said. “That’s one of the first things I thought of. The reason she had an open casket was that she wanted to show the world what her son went through as far as a hate crime, and being black in America. No matter how much money you have, no matter how famous you are, no matter how many people admire you, being black in America is tough. We’ve got a long way to go, for us as a society and for us as African Americans, until we feel equal in America.”

Following accusations of whistling at a white woman in Mississippi back in 1955, Emmett Till, a black teenager of only 14 years of age, was lynched to death.

Authorities have confirmed that the racial moniker had been spray-painted on the front gate of one James’ homes in Los Angeles, according to The Washington Post.

The LAPD has also said that it would investigate the incident as a hate crime.

James continued and said:

“As I sit here on the eve of one of the greatest sporting events that we have in sports, race and what’s going on comes again, and on my behalf and on my family’s behalf. But I look at it as, if this can shed light and continue to keep the conversation going on my behalf, then I’m okay with it. My family is safe. They’re safe, and that’s most important. It just goes to show that racism will always be a part of the world, a part of America. Hate in America, especially for African Americans, is with them every day. Even though it’s concealed most of the time, people hide their faces, say things about you. When they see you, they smile in your face. It’s alive every single day.”

Sorry I had a fight in the middle of your Black Panther Party.

On Saturday, the “Black Lives Matter” movement’s New York City faction hosted an “exclusively black” Memorial Day party.

Named “The People’s Turn-Up,” the event’s Facebook page called it an “unapologetically black” party, only for individuals who identified as black.

“Clear your calendar,” the invite read. “It’s a lituation! You’re invited to take part in the UNAPOLOGETICALLY Black festivities. Bring yourself, bring Bae (or come find Bae), whatever you like. We got you. We got us.”

To promote the event, the hashtag #BlacksOnlySpace was widely used.

On the event’s discussion board, a note made it pretty clear that it was a party only for blacks. The note read:

“When we say ‘The People’ we mean Black People. Being intentional around being around Black People is an act of resistance. This is an exclusively Black Space. So if you do not identify as Black and want to come because you love Black People, please respect the space and do not come.”

Out of curiosity, a commenter asked the admins of the Facebook page of the event, through a comment on one of the threads, “I’m curious though…is there a plan on how to deal with those (or other) things should they occur?”

To this, one of the event’s coordinators replied that security has been arranged for and all rules mentioned would be enforced.

“We have security in the space, along w/ vibe checkers,” the moderator wrote. “If these things occur folks can find one of those persons/or see myself, Jewel, or Al as we are lead coordinators.

“It will not be tolerated & if this happens individuals can be asked to leave.”

Although the 2016 Presidential election is long past, Trump supporters are continuing to be violently beaten in the streets for no reason aside from their support for President Donald Trump.

The latest victims are couple from Kettering, Ohio and their friend.

Lee Jackson, one of the men who was beaten, suffered a broken face after being attacked in the parking lot of a restaurant.

Jackson stepped in to help his friend who was attacked by a mob of black men.

Several from the mob filmed the incident on their cell phones.

No arrests have been made.

Jackson has no insurance to repair his fractured skull and no GoFundMe page could be found to assist the man.

Watch the video above.
